This 2" Vernonscope 2.4X Dakin Barlow may be used with telescopes that accept 2 inch eyepieces. This Barlow is made with very high quality glass lens that gives sharp contrast. It holds a 2 inch eyepiece or 2" to 1.25" adapter with a brass compression ring, a screw insert, and a stainless steel set screw.

It also can be unscrewed at the center, and the bottom portion containing the Dakin Barlow lens screwed onto a standard 2 inch eyepiece, as shown with the Vernonscope 2 inch 48mm Brandon. When the bottom half is screwed directly into an eyepiece, the magnification is approximately 1.5X.

The Barlow was designed to be placed between the draw tube of a scope and a diagonal. In-travel will need to be longer when separated and screwed into an eyepiece.

This 2 inch 2.4X Dakin Barlow costs $289. (48mm Brandon eyepiece not included)

1.25 inch, 2.4X Dakin Barlow

This 1.25" Vernonscope 2.4X Dakin Barlow may be used with telescopes that accept 1.25" inch eyepieces. It is made with very high quality glass lens that gives sharp contrast. This Barlow will hold a 1.25 inch eyepiece, using a brass compression ring, a screw insert, and a stainless steel set screw. This 1.25" 2.4X Dakin Barlow costs $210. 

1.25 inch, 1.25X Magic Dakin Barlow

This 1.25" Vernonscope 1.25X Magic Dakin Barlow may be used with telescopes that accept 1.25" inch eyepieces. It is made with very high quality glass lens that gives sharp contrast. This Dakin Barlow costs $149.

This Barlow screws onto the bottom of a 1.25" eyepiece.  We make one version with threads that screw onto the Brandon eyepieces (left photo-has Brandon engraved on the bottom line) and another version with metric threads to screw onto non-Brandon eyepieces (right photo-does not have Brandon engraved on it).

We also make adapters so you can buy the MDB with the thread you will use the most, and still be able to use it on the other thread when you wish.  See the Adapters page for details.
